Promoting Resource Optimisation and Sustainable Peace for Environmental Resilience (PROSPER)

Our Work

At The Delimi Project, our work is rooted in the belief that peace and environmental resilience are inseparable.

We empower youth in Plateau and Kaduna States to lead change through storytelling, civic engagement, and community-based advocacy.

Our programs are designed to be inclusive, locally grounded, and impact-driven—bridging divides and building futures.

MOOC Development

Learning for Change

We are developing a 15-unit Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) that equips young people with the tools to understand and address resource conflict, extremism, and environmental advocacy. The MOOC is structured into three modules:

  • The Environment and Conflict

  • Identifying and Countering Extremism
  • Socio-Environmental Advocacy

Each module contains five courses, delivered through short, engaging video segments and supported by facilitator guides, learner activities, and community screenings.

Community Peacebuilding Workshops (CPW)

Dialogue that heals.

Our Community Peacebuilding Workshops (CPW) bring together youth, elders, and local leaders to engage in structured dialogue around identity, belonging, and shared resources. These workshops are designed to:

  • Build empathy across divides

  • Surface local solutions to conflict

  • Strengthen civic agency and trust

Workshops are held in both Plateau and Kaduna States, with tailored facilitation and follow-up activities.

Youth-Led Documentary Production

Stories That Shift Perspectives

We train youth participants to ideate, script, direct, and produce mini-documentaries that reflect their lived experiences and community challenges. These films explore themes of peacebuilding, climate resilience, and civic action—and are screened locally to spark dialogue and inspire change.

Each documentary is co-created with ethical storytelling practices, ensuring dignity, consent, and community ownership.

Advocacy & Civic Engagement

From awareness to action.

Beyond learning and storytelling, we support youth-led advocacy campaigns that engage local institutions, influence policy, and promote inclusive governance. Our approach includes:

  • Digital counter-narratives

  • Community mobilization

  • Coalition building with civil society and media

We believe that civic action is most powerful when it’s rooted in lived experience and amplified through creative platforms.

Impact & What’s Next

Stories That Shift Perspectives

Our work is just beginning. As we expand our reach and deepen our partnerships, we remain committed to:

  • Centring youth voices

  • Practicing do-no-harm principles

  • Measuring impact through stories and data

  • Scaling what works, locally and beyond

We invite you to join us—whether as a learner, facilitator, partner, or storyteller.
